Very cool bar and hangout atmosphere. Great selection of craft beer and food. Service is great and fast most times. Not big enough for a big party, but cool spot downtown for a few friends to hangout.
They have a $10 minimum to use your card which is unheard of. $5 is understandable ok but $10 is outrageous. Offered an atm which of course charges a fee. It’s 2017 people rarely use cash anymore. Wanted 1 slice of pizza either had to buy 3 or use THEIR atm. I think not. Horrible practice. Won’t be returning
Gone again for a dine in experience and the co-owner was behind the bar serving us. I explained my past experiences and without any hesitation he explained what happened and handled us in a very professional manner. I am very pleased with the result and I will be eating here again!
Took just over an hour to get food. Good once we got it. Delay was blamed on a system malfunction, server did not notice it was taking an extremely long time to get our food, even though there were only 4 other customers there.
Went online to check out Humboldt steel' s menu. I was fairly excited to try the pizza here due to fairly decent reviews. I called in about a pie for pick up and had to call multiple times due to phone difficulties on their end. When I got on the phone the gentleman was very curt. The online menu tells me the pie is $18, so when he rang it up he told me the price was $24 and that they had raised the prices. I then inquired why the menu price wasn't changed online and since it was the restaurants fault that they should honor the price. He stated they would not.
A week later, one of my friends suprised me with with a pepperoni stromboli and pizza from this restaurant, and despite my Ill feelings towards it, I found the food very enjoyable. I wish that the first incident didnt happen because they truly have a good pie!
Nice place with live music in old town Portsmouth. Not too hard to find free parking. The music was great and the pizza slices were good.
