This review is for our two recent ER visits for a child's head wound that needed sutures. Each visit to the ER took about 5hours from signing in-to being discharged (not including the pharmacy wait), yet had low volume of patients. I WISH I could say the sloppy work was due to my son wiggling and crying, however, my kid actually took it like a champ both times. He was not squirming or fidgeting at all!

We have been seen at military medical clinics all over the world. This hospital is the worst we have ever been to. They overbook their clinics and refuse to give you a waiver to be seen off post. After much trouble we have been finally advised to send in a waiver to be seen off post...we have currently been waiting on the approval for 5 weeks. This waiver is so my child can see a doctor. The average time we have waited for the pharmacy is an hour. I had spine surgery less than a year ago...took 11 visits to attempt to get PT...I had to drive an hour away to another clinic to get a referral for PT. Command team does not answer to ICE comments. I highly recommend going elsewhere.

The emergency room here is awful. My wife was turned away today in severe pain because after sitting there for 4 hours they refused to give her anything for pain relief, basically insinuated that she would abuse the pain killers if they prescribed them and justified it by saying it wouldn't help for her pain anyways. They weren't willing to try anything to relieve her pain except a painful shot of medication that they tried the last time we came in (the previous Tuesday) and just made her other arm hurt but didn't do anything for the original pain complaint. My wife has been in pain for roughly a month (getting progressively worse) has barely slept in the past week, can hardly function throughout the day, and they weren't willing to try anything to help her (not even give her something while we were there to see if it helps) these doctors shouldn't be practicing medicine on our service members if they don't have the necessary compassion to put their pain, discomfort, and well being at the top of their priorities. I'm sickened and infuriated by how heartless the navy "medical professionals" have proven to be.

Go to a real hospital if you can. Practically almost killed my wife and unborn baby just by having an idiot corpsman who couldn't draw blood from a woman with veins you can almost see in the dark. A couple samples had to be discarded because they weren't complete. Then sent her off by herself, woozy from bloodloss, up and down stairs to look for a broken vending machine and the galley. Now I get to take off worm to make sure nothing worse happens for every trip. I'm making a personal trip to have a less than civilized talk about professionalism with them and my JAG if something like this happens again.

ER VISIT 08/09/2017: The second doctor did a better job to close my son's head wound and staple the skin together. I asked the doctor to cut the hair from the area so I can clean the area at home, as needed. The doctor did not, and there is still a heavy amount of hair in the wound area, and under the staples.

ER VISIT 08/08/2017: One doctor performed sloppy staple work to suture my 6year old's head wound closed. There was heavy amount of hair in the wound, the area was not cleaned at all, and two staples were hanging on by one tooth, each. The wound was open.

By far the absolute worst care I have ever experienced at a medical facility. Thanks to the incompetent office staff of the OBGYN I’m now forced to find a new clinic half way through my pregnancy. Wonderful baby experience ruined by a their lack of care.
