Not an awesome bike shop. The owner is only there for a few hours and not every day. Which would be fine if those hours varied so working people could stop by to see him in person; or if he would empower his employees to make decisions and make a deal to purchase a bike. Not cool when you are told two times in a row that the only the boss can do that but he's not around, can't be called. And he never returned my message. I was lied to about trade in value if I bought there and traded in there. Over the last 10-12 years I've bought 6-7 bikes there. Not sure what happened but I'm headed elsewhere from now on
I walked in not knowing a whole lot about street bike but the representative took 45 minutes and explained everything to me. I had a great experience and look forward to purchasing my first street bike from them. GREAT SERVICE!!!

I do not understand the couple of negative reviews here. This store and its owner are awesome. Knowledgeable and friendly. Never condescending like some sprocket heads. We've bought bikes here fore 20 years and only go elsewhere if SCAT doesn't carry what we need. Would go anywhere else.
I love this shop! We're bought several bikes from them over the years and have been very pleased with our purchases. They even keep detailed purchase records. Our grandchilds bike was returned to us recently because of their records!
I read a previous reviewer’s negative comments from both on Google and Yelp. I have to disagree wholeheartedly. I’ve never felt like the shop wasn’t trying to give me a fair deal. I actually had taken one of my bikes to another shop, a much larger shop in Virginia Beach and I had them try to fix my bike hydraulic brakes several times with no luck. On the first try SCAT got it fixed. After that I had them replace my Ultegra components on my 2003 bike before doing a century ride in Northern Virginia. Everything worked great the price was awesome with a warranty. I can’t say enough about how much I appreciate them. I just recommended them to another friend to get new components on his bike. Wherther you buy the bike from them or not, if it is a $200 Bike or $2000 Bike they will take care of you. Ihave bought bikes from them as well and very satisfied!
